1. A person can now share an SDA
property with someone who does not
have SDA funding, such as their
partner, children or friends.
You can now live with another person or other people who do not have SDA funding, if you choose to, as long as living with another person or other people does not have a negative impact on you.
This can mean that you can share your home with family, friends or a flatmate.
As the person with SDA funding in your NDIS plan, your bedroom in the SDA property must meet your needs.
This bedroom can be used by you, or you can choose to share the bedroom with another person. As the person with SDA funding in your NDIS plan, you must also have access to a bathroom and shared areas that meet your needs, including the kitchen and living spaces.
We pride ourselves on our ability to help you get more out of your funding i.e getting extra support and care for you.
Our team will get to know you and your needs to identify support services that will help you reach your goals. We will then work with you to understand your budgeting options and manage the support services you need.
NDIS is designed to provide you with support and care services to improve your everyday life and health. The amount of funding you receive is based on your individual plan and needs to last for the entire duration, typically 12 months after your plan started.
State government disability packages
Various states across Australia provide disability benefits in areas which have not transitioned to NDIS plans. If you’re a recipient of a government-initiated Disability Package, CRT will be able to help you during this transition period.
Our disability specialists understand the complexity of funding options available in each area and are always happy to discuss available options with you.
Private funded services
If you find that you have one-off requests, such as travel and holiday assistance, need help during extended periods of respite, or if you find that the NDIS or state-funded budgets available to you don’t cover all the services required, you can choose to privately fund extra services with CRT.
Insurance payout
If you’ve experienced total or permanent disability, you may be provided with third-party insurance payments.

For example, you might need home modifications before you can move back home. If your builder says the modifications will take 100 days, we could fund 100 days of Medium Term Accommodation.
